DIRECTOR
Nancy Iskander
Nancy is a mother from Westlake Village and the founder of The Mark and Jacob Foundation. She founded the organization in 2021 after the tragic loss of her sons, Mark and Jacob. Dedicated to turning heartbreak into hope, Nancy’s work supports underprivileged children in Egypt and Southern California through foster youth programs, scholarships, and orphan care.
In 2023, she expanded her mission by launching a foster care agency in partnership with Good Shepherd Family Services. Located in Westlake Village, the agency serves children across Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties, keeping Mark and Jacob’s light alive through every life it touches.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Helena Sidrak Tossoun, PsyD
Helena is a wife, mother, and mental health professional dedicated to serving family and youth within the foster care system. She received her doctorate in psychology in June of 2023 and has been providing quality care for the last 6 years. Her passion to serve in foster care grew after losing her son in January of 2025 due to a tragic illness and thereby, sharing in The Good Shepherd - Mark and Jacob mission to turn pain into hope by finding a loving home for underserved children.
SOCIAL WORKER
Sandy Silva
Sandy is a dedicated and passionate mother, wife, and social worker. She earned her Master of Social Work from USC in August of 2021. She has since gained extensive experience in both the foster care and mental health fields. As a survivor of child abuse, Sandy channels her personal journey into empowering and supporting children and families within the foster care community.
ADMINISTRATOR & SOCIAL WORKER SUPRERVISOR
Stephanie Madrigal
Stephanie is a compassionate mental health professional with a Master’s degree in Psychology. With over eight years of experience working with underprivileged and underserved youth, she specializes in trauma-informed care, support services, and advocacy. Stephanie is dedicated to creating nurturing, safe, and empowering environments where foster youth can heal and thrive.
